Reese Witherspoon and Avon have introduced the new Avon Empowerment "Circle of Support" Necklace, in conjunction with International Women's Day, March 8. This item will raise funds to help end violence against women around the world. The silver-toned necklace is beautiful as well as symbolic. It catches the eye, as the design features an infinity symbol enclosed in a circle.
The design motif stands for the unlimited potential women's lives have, when freed from domestic violence. Potential to create. Potential to develop. Potential to overcome obstacles. The symbolic significance is that attitudes must change, before behaviors will follow.
"It's a shocking reality that one in three women worldwide will experience violence in their lives. It's an unacceptable truth that we must all work to change," the actress says. Reese Witherspoon urges everyone to buy and give this "Circle of Support" to help change the world. The cost is only $5, and 100% of the net profit--$3.71 each—will be donated to the Foundation. A symbol so powerful and so affordable could be around every woman's neck.
The Circle of Support necklace is only the latest Avon fund-raising product in an on-going campaign which has donated close to $40 million in funds to "end the epidemic of violence against women globally." Reese Witherspoon, with her polished look and professional status, is a perfect spokesperson for the cause.

She plays one tough chick in her new film, Colombiana, but Zoe Saldana tells PEOPLE she’s always up for ladies’ night.
“My beauty tip for a girls’ night out is … the girls,” she tells PEOPLE in the clip above. “We’re all putting each other together while listening to a good playlist.”
Depending on where she goes at night, Saldana says she keeps it casual or goes “very va-va. If you want to go for a glass of champagne somewhere you put on the heels and you do your hair,” she says.
The actress is dishing beauty advice as the face of Avon‘s Eternal Magic Enchanted fragrance, a scent featuring notes of black raspberry, velvet iris and creamy vanilla. “When I want to escape to a serene, magical place, I spritz Avon Eternal Magic Enchanted — it instantly transports me to paradise,” Saldana says.
But sometimes paradise really is a night with her best friends. “We always have a blast,” she says. “As long as the girls are out, that’s all that matters.”

Star Trek’s new Uhura Zoe Saldana’s star continues to rise. Today the actress was named the newest face of Avon. Zoe will be featured in upcoming promotions for Avon cosmetics and a new fragrance debuting in June. Zoe has also picked up a nomination for her acting work in the mega-hit, Avatar.
